The "Choose to Move" home fitness show provides elders with the motivation and support to become more active by introducing the habit of physical activity into your daily life. Being active is one of the most important things you can do to maintain your overall health. It can help you feel better, look better and live longer.

The show is hosted by Bella Coola resident Janice Kyle. Janice has been advocate for healthy living and exercise in the Nuxalk community for many years. She is a trained activity coach for the Choose to Move program and can work one-on-one with you to create a tailor-made physical activity plan to meet your health and fitness goals. The Choose to Move model is an initiative of the Active Aging Society that was developed by the Active Aging Research Team at the University of British Columbia. They assessed the best available scientific research and then based on evidence and experience, their team developed a model to help seniors to become and stay active.
